Giants' Affeldt returns from knee injury

PHOENIX (AP) The San Francisco Giants have activated left-hander Jeremy Affeldt from the 15-day disabled list.

Affeldt, who was activated before Tuesday night's game with Arizona, had been on the DL since Aug. 24, when he twisted his knee while playing with his son on a Giants' day off.

He was 2-2 with a 5.46 ERA in 44 appearances before being injured. He missed 14 games.

Affeldt is 43-46 with a 3.94 ERA in 14 big league seasons.
