Prosecutors say criminal charges will not be filed against Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman James Loney, who was arrested last year on suspicion of driving under the influence.
City attorney's office spokesman Frank Mateljan said Wednesday that the office obtained a report from law enforcement and determined there was insufficient evidence to proceed with a case against Loney.
Loney was arrested Nov. 14 after his Maserati hit three cars on a Los Angeles freeway.
California Highway Patrol Officer Leland Tang says Loney apparently passed out, then awakened and tried to leave. He was arrested and given a blood test.
