Dodgers' first baseman Adrian Gonzalez now second in NL ASG voting

Adrian Gonzalez is now second to the Diamondbacks’ Paul Goldschmidt in All-Star voting among National League first basemen after being first in each of MLB.com's previous two voting updates. Goldschmidt has a slim lead of about 125,000 votes.
The Los Angeles Times notes that after a hot start to the season, Gonzalez has cooled off:
Gonzalez got off to a blazing start, hitting .377 with nine homers, 29 RBI and a .438 on-base percentage in his first 30 games. In his last 27 games he's hitting .269 with two homers and 10 RBI, but still with a .370 on-base.
The first baseman’s slip in the polls may be reflective of this.
Unfortunately for the Dodgers, Gonzalez represents the team’s best hope to have a starter at the All-Star Game. Both second baseman Howie Kendrick and catcher Yasmani Grandal are among the top-5 vote-getters at their respective positions, but both are distant from the top spot. Despite the historic numbers which center fielder Joc Pederson has been putting up, the rookie sits at 11th among outfielders.
