Dodgers call up Van Slyke from Triple-A

The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled outfielder Scott Van Slyke from Triple-A Albuquerque and optioned shortstop Dee Gordon to Albuquerque prior to Friday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Van Slyke has batted .242 with six homers and 15 RBIs in 36 games this season. It is his fourth call-up of the season.

Gordon has batted .208 in 25 games this season with Los Angeles.
