A set of lights went out at Angel Stadium on Thursday night, delaying a game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels for 18 minutes.
The game was held up in the seventh inning when a bank of lights overlooking right field went on the blink. The Dodgers had just increased their lead to 8-4 on a one-out RBI single by Casey Blake when umpires ordered the players off the field.
Both teams eventually agreed that the game should go on even though stadium workers were still trying to fix the balky lights - which remained out when play resumed.
Angel Stadium will host the All-Star game next month.
