Diamondbacks work out deal with Bauer

The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed right-hander Archie Bradley, one of the team's two first-round picks in this year's draft, to a minor league contract with a $5 million signing bonus.

Bradley had signed a letter of intent to play baseball and football the University of Oklahoma, but decided to play for the Diamondbacks.

The 18-year-old from Oklahoma was the seventh overall pick in this year's draft after going 12-1 with a 0.29 ERA while leading Broken Arrow High School to last year's 6A Class state championship.

Arizona signed former UCLA pitcher Trevor Bauer, the third overall pick, to a $4.45 million, four-year deal two weeks ago.
