Cubs' Castro creating good karma for himself

It's very possible that the 2015 season may turn out to be the best of Starlin Castro's career so far.

But aside from an extra year of experience, Castro is the same player he has been for the past few seasons. So, what's behind the recent success?

Well, his new manager believes it may just be the result of good karma.

“Everything he's doing right now, I always believe in the complimentary effects of everything that we do. And if there's good baseball karma, he's created that for himself right now by the way he's gone about his business,” Joe Maddon told CSN Chicago.

Since arriving in Chicago, Maddon has preached a philosophy of “Respect 90.” In other words, respect the game, hustle and play the right way.

Castro has embraced the mantra and Maddon feels the results speak for themselves.
