CHICAGO (AP) The Chicago Cubs activated right-hander Jake Arrieta from the 15-day disabled list, and he'll makes his season debut Saturday against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Outfielder Ryan Sweeney was put on the 15-day DL with a right hamstring strain. Cubs manager Rick Renteria says Sweeney may be sidelined three to four weeks. Sweeney suffered the injury when he ran down a fly ball in left-center field during the eighth inning of Friday's game.

Outfielder Chris Coghlan was called up from Triple-A Iowa. Right-hander Kyuji Fujikawa (Tommy John surgery) was moved to the 60-day DL to create a spot on the 40-man roster for Coghlan.

Coghlan hit .243 with five doubles, six RBIs and six stolen bases in 24 games with Iowa.
