UPDATE (Wednesday, 3 a.m. ET): It appears Josie Canseco is out of jail, as early Wednesday morning a pair of tweets from her account were posted.

The second tweet was aimed at "ignorant" people and demanded they stop talking:

The first appeared to be a text exchange with her mother.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Josie Canseco, the 18-year-old daughter of famed slugger Jose Canseco, was arrested near Los Angeles early Tuesday morning, according to multiple reports.

According to TMZ, Canseco, who works as a model and is represented by Next Model Management, was arrested on a DUI charge in Hollywood at about 1 a.m. after, according to law enforcement sources, police saw her car hit a curb and she subsequently failed a field sobriety test. The story said Canseco was booked about 6:15 a.m. and, as of the early afternoon, was still in jail on $15,000 bail.

The TMZ report also said police suspect Canseco was under the influence of drugs, not alcohol, at the time of her arrest.

The New York Daily News spoke with Jose Canseco's fiancee Leila Knight, who told the paper, "Jose is trying to figure out what the substance is."

Knight added that Jose found out about the arrest after Josie's agent called him and that in terms of financial support, while Jose gives his daughter money, he considers her "on her own."

Josie, like Jose, has also appeared on VH1's "Hollywood Exes," a reality TV show featuring the ex-wives of celebrities, one of whom is Jessica Canseco, Josie's mother.
