Camden Yards to get offseason facelift

Published Nov. 9, 2010 6:55 p.m. ET

Camden Yards will be getting a facelift in preparation for its 20th season as home for the Baltimore Orioles.

The Maryland Stadium Authority intends to install drink rails in portions of the club level seating bowl along the left field and right field lines. There are also plans for bistro tables facing the field on the left field club level.

The club level and upper deck will be furnished with wider seats, and less intrusive railings will be installed in front of the first few rows of both levels.

The upgrades will reduce the seating capacity of the ballpark to 45,971 from 48,290.

The Orioles expect the changes to be approved by the Board of Public Works next week.
