Cain makes first appearance, Posey hits 1st HR in Giants win

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) Matt Cain pitched into the third inning in his first start this spring, Buster Posey had three hits and drove in three runs and the San Francisco Giants beat the San Diego Padres 15-6 Friday night.
Hunter Pence, Brandon Crawford and Denard Span also homered for the Giants, who used their projected opening day lineup with Cain in place of Madison Bumgarner. Span drove in four runs.
Matt Kemp homered and John Jay had two hits and drove in a run for the Padres.
Padres starter Brandon Maurer allowed 10 runs in 1 1-3 innings. Cain batted eighth and had two hits, both during a six-run second.
