Cleveland Indians shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera left Friday night's game against the Kansas City Royals after fouling a pitch off his left knee.

Cabrera was facing Kansas City starter Bruce Chen in the top of the third inning and hobbled out of the batter's box after fouling off the pitch. He remained in the game and promptly hit his 22nd homer of the season to left field to give Cleveland a 4-0 lead.

In the bottom half of the third, Cabrera had trouble moving laterally on Alcides Escobar's grounder that bounced off the glove of Indians starter Justin Masterson. Cabrera left the game after the play, favoring his knee.
