Brewers' Gomez may be back Friday

Injuries have been just one of the things hampering the Brewers this season, but it appears they are about to get a little bit healthier.

Carlos Gomez, recovering from a right hamstring injury, is close to returning according to Brewers.com.

“He's close,” Brewers manager Ron Roenicke told Brewers.com. “Friday should be close; if not, a day or two after. He's been chasing fly balls well in the outfield.”

Gomez certainly won't solve all the Brewers' problems, but reinserting a two-time All Star and a Gold Glove Award winner into the lineup can only be a positive.
