Outfielder Carlos Gomez and left-hander Manny Parra have agreed to 1-year deals with the Milwaukee Brewers, avoiding salary arbitration.

Gomez's deal is worth $1,962,500, up from $1.5 million. In addition to Gomez's base salary, he can earn $25,000 each for 450, 475, 500 and 525 plate appearances. His performance bonuses are the same as they were in 2011.

Gomez played 94 games for the Brewers last season, batting .225 with eight home runs and 24 RBIs. Nyjer Morgan eventually took over as the team's primary center fielder.

Parra gets the same $1.2 million salary he made last year, when he missed last season with back and elbow injuries. In 2010, he appeared in 42 games with 16 starts, going 3-10 with a 5.02 ERA.
