Braves misspell Uribe's name, Dodgers will still give him bobblehead
Typically, a midseason trade comes with plenty of logistical issues for club staff to deal with quickly. Things such as getting the new acquisition a flight to join the club, a hotel room if the team is on the road, and the usual H.R. paperwork are just some of those behind-the-scenes duties that make switching teams — and cities — the seamless process we see on TV.
But when the player and his new team are already in the same city, there shouldn’t be any hiccups ... right?
Well, not if you’re the Atlanta Braves.
When the six-player trade between the Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers became official early Wednesday, it came when the two clubs were in the middle of a three-game series at Chavez Ravine.
So when Juan Uribe became a Brave, all he had to do was cross the field and go into the Braves’ dugout. All the Braves had to do was put Uribe’s name on the back of a jersey.
Oops.

The Braves tweeted out a response; that tweet has since been deleted. But according to reports, the tweet read:
Jersey so new the adhesive didn't have a chance to dry: There's no "I" in team.
Luckily for Uribe, Braves coach and former catcher Eddie Perez did his best MacGyver impersonation and came up with a quick fix. Masking tape.

For Uribe’s part, he was a good sport about the whole thing. He even recorded a heartfelt message to Dodgers fans in his new uniform.

The Dodgers, in turn, announced that they will go ahead with their planned Juan Uribe bobblehead giveaway on July 11.
