Braves right-hander Jair Jurrjens is expected to be ready for spring training after surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his right knee.
The Braves said Wednesday that Jurrjens had arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday in Birmingham, Ala., to repair a lateral meniscus tear. Dr. James Andrews performed the surgery.
The 24-year-old Jurrjens was not able to pitch in the Braves' NL division series loss to San Francisco due to the injury. He missed two months early in the season with a hamstring injury. He was 7-6 with a 4.64 ERA in 20 starts.
