Boston Red Sox center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury is out of the starting lineup once again because of tightness in his left groin.
Jackie Bradley Jr. was set to play in place of Ellsbury on Saturday night against the New York Yankees. Ellsbury also missed Friday night's game.
Red Sox manager John Farrell said Ellsbury is feeling better and that his improvement ''is encouraging.'' But the manager said Ellsbury was not available in the middle game of the series.
Farrell says he hasn't yet ruled out Ellsbury playing on Sunday night at Yankee Stadium. Boston is then off Monday.

Ellsbury set a team record by stealing five bases Thursday against Philadelphia. He leads the majors with 21 steals and is hitting .268.
