Blue Jays' Hayhurst to have exploratory surgery

Blue Jays right-hander Dirk Hayhurst will have exploratory arthroscopic surgery to examine his sore right shoulder.

The 28-year-old pitched in 15 games for Toronto last season, compiling a 2.78 ERA with no decisions. He also was 4-6 with a 3.75 ERA in six starts and 19 relief appearances for Triple-A Las Vegas of the Pacific Coast League.
