Blake activated by Dodgers, Uribe on DL

Published Jul. 30, 2011 11:34 p.m. ET

The Dodgers activated third basemen Casey Blake from the disabled list, placed Juan Uribe on the DL and Rafael Furcal was held out of the lineup against the Arizona Diamondbacks as they apparently worked on a deal to send the shortstop to St. Louis.

Uribe is on the shelf because of a groin strain. Blake, who has been on the DL three times this season, entered Saturday hitting .242 with four homers and 18 RBIs.

The Dodgers also got the word from starting pitcher Hiroki Kuroda on Saturday that he decided not to waive the no-trade clause in his contract in order to stay with the club.
