Athletics' Crisp leaves in second inning

Oakland Athletics outfielder Coco Crisp left Sunday's game against the Cleveland Indians in the second inning.

The Athletics announced that Crisp left with tightness in his left hamstring. On Thursday in Baltimore, manager Bob Geren held him out of the lineup, saying he wanted to give the 30-year-old a rest.

Crisp opened the game with a walk, advanced to second on a passed ball, to third on a groundout and scored on another groundout. He moved up a base each time without a play being made on him.

Crisp has hit .302, has played in only 12 games and gone to the disabled list twice this season. He was sidelined April 3 to May 20 with a broken finger on his left hand. Three days later, he pulled a muscle in his right side and was out until June 21.
