At least Gordon had a helluva final day as a Dodger
The first two days of the Winter Meetings in San Diego were full of all of the usual player buzz and rumors associated with MLB's annual gathering of every front office in the league. One thing they were not full of, however, was talk of the Dodgers shipping All-Star second baseman Dee Gordon. But by the time the sun set, the Dodgers had set the league on its ear — and Gordon was a Marlin.
But not before the new leadoff man in Miami had a helluva final day in blue, sent off a couple of classy emails, and got one last salute from one of the littlest Dodgers of all.
First, here's how Gordon spent his last day as a Dodger.

And once he learned he was headed to the other side of the country, Gordon said one last goodbye to the Dodgers and their fans.

And one teammate said goodbye, as well.
@FlashGJr gonna miss you #Superman! Hey you think you are gonna hit any triples down in #305?

But nothing tops what Dodgers catcher A.J. Ellis tweeted.
When your son tells you someone else is his favorite player, it's usually sad. Not in this case. Thanks @FlashGJr pic.twitter.com/2y0xB7wdlB
