At ACC baseball tournament, dogs replace bat boys

If they were using wooden bats instead of metal at the Atlantic Coast Conference baseball tournament, this would be much closer to chasing the stick. But you still have to love a bat dog.

The ACC borrowed the bat dogs from the Single-A Greensboro Grasshoppers, Miss Lou Lou Gehrig and Miss Babe Ruth. We could say more, but really all you need is to see one of them in action:

Let's not forget how dogs can lend a paw in other sports, too. Boise State is among the teams that have employed a kicking tee retriever.
