Astros to recall Wright to start Tuesday

Published Jul. 18, 2010 1:17 a.m. ET

The Houston Astros will recall left-hander Wesley Wright from Triple-A Round Rock to start Tuesday night against the Cubs.

Wright, who allowed six earned runs over 9 2-3 innings in six appearances with Houston earlier this season, is taking Felipe Paulino's spot in the rotation.

Paulino is on the disabled list with right shoulder tendinitis and experienced a setback during a throwing session Friday in Pittsburgh. He will fly back to Houston on Sunday morning for an MRI.

After Friday night's game, the Astros placed right-hander Brian Moehler on the DL due to a strained right groin sustained during a start July 7.

The 25-year-old Wright is 4-0 with a 4.18 ERA in 13 starts for Round Rock this season.
