Astros first baseman Carlos Lee has left Houston's game at Cincinnati in the bottom of the first inning because of a sprained left ankle.

Lee was injured while trying to field a bounced throw from third baseman Chris Johnson on Zack Cozart's sharp grounder leading off the bottom of the first.

The 35-year-old slugger came in hitting .273 with two home runs and 13 runs batted in. He has started all 19 of Houston's games at first base.

Cozart was credited with an infield hit.
