Angels' Morin hits D.L. with oblique strain
Los Angeles Angels reliever Mike Morin left Saturday's game with the Boston Red Sox with what was later revealed to be a strained left oblique.
Morin, 24, came up lame after delivering a pitch and was removed from the game as a result. He hit the 15-day disabled list after the game, a development with which he isn't very familiar. As he told Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com regarding his return, "I'm not sure the severity behind it. I've never dealt with anything like this. It's frustrating. It's been frustrating."
Morin's had a tough time so far in 2015, allowing 10 runs in 15 innings. As for his expected recovery time, he told Alden Gonzalez the following: "It varies. It just felt kind of weird. No timetable right now. I'll just hope for the best and do everything I can to get it right."
