April 13, 2015 marked the 52nd anniversary of Rose's first hit and 31st anniversary of his 4,000th hit, so I'd just like to remember how great of a baseball player he was, how his competitiveness was his best and worst trait, how he was such a lovable shill for terrible commercials — just, for once, a few Pete Rose things that have nothing to do with gambling on baseball. Is that OK? You sure?
