Hassan Ridgeway - May return to practice soon49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said Saturday that he's hopeful Ridgeway (quadriceps) will be able to return to practice this week, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
ImpactRidgeway has been sidelined ever since he picked up a mild quad strain during the early stages of San Francisco's training camp in late July. Shanahan said at the time of this injury that the 27-year-old would miss a couple weeks with this injury, so his potential return to activity just over two weeks later seems to fit this initial timeline. ImpactIt's unclear exactly how long Brunskill will be out after straining his hamstring, but it's likely that the 49ers will be careful in how they handle the presumptive starter's health this preseason. Mike McGlinchey - Will sit out practice this week49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said Saturday that McGlinchey (knee) will be sidelined for the team's practices in Minnesota this week, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
ImpactMcGlinchey appears to have irritated the interior of his knee and the team is planning to "be smart with him this week," as he sits out practice, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Shanahan also added that there is nothing wrong structurally with the starting right tackle's knee, so the team's decision appears to be largely precautionary at this point of the preseason.

Curtis Robinson - Set to miss time with injuryRobinson (groin) is expected to miss the 49ers' practices this week while dealing with a groin injury, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
ImpactIt's unclear when the 24-year-old sustained this injury, but his next opportunity to play should come during San Francisco's preseason matchup against the Vikings on Aug. 20. Robinson exclusively on special teams (37 snaps) over the final three regular-season games for the 49ers in 2021 before re-signing with the team in January.
