The Vancouver Canucks have confirmed they will retire former player Pavel Bure's No. 10 jersey during the 2013-2014 NHL season.
Team executives announced the move during the club's annual summer Tuesday night. His number will be the fourth in franchise history to be retired, joining Stan Smyl, Trevor Linden and Markus Naslund.
Bure told NHL.com that he is "really proud and happy" about the accolade during Tuesday's summit at Rogers Arena.
The Russian native was a member of the Canucks between the 1991-92 and 1997-98 seasons. During that time, he scored 254 goals and racked up 224 assists in a total of 428 games played.

Bure was also inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in November.
