Patriots DE Jones interacts with fans whenever he can

One of the best aspects of training camp is the amount of interaction fans are able to have with their favorite players.

Often, guys spend time before and after practice along the fences of the field signing autographs and talking to fans. It's not something players are able to do as often during the regular season, which is what makes it great.

For Chandler Jones, interacting with fans is a pleasure and he does it whenever he gets the chance. Why? Because he said it wasn't too long ago that he was a rabid fan getting excited about interactions with players on Twitter.

"I feel like it was just yesterday when I was actually one of those fans," Jones said, per Michael Whitmer of the Boston Globe. "I didn’t have the access to any NFL team, but I was the guy on Twitter saying, ‘Oh my god, he tweeted at me!’ or ‘He shouted me out!’ I was that person. So for me to have that opportunity to do that to people, I try to do it whenever I can."

Jones seems like one of the genuine "good guys" in professional sports, dedicating his time to making fans happy.

"You see fans out there, sitting there in the rain, sitting there in the heat, sweating or drenched, and they’re just yelling your name the whole practice, the least I can do is go over there and say hi, take some selfies or sign a few things."

One of the main reasons he is so dedicated to making fans happy is because of a life-changing experience he had on Twitter involving Von Miller and Reggie Bush.

"I remember Von Miller when I was in college, Reggie Bush," Jones said. "I think I posted a song lyric and they tweeted at me the rest of the song. I kind of freaked out. It changed my life."
