Falcons OL suspended for season opener

The Atlanta Falcons will be without one of their top reserves when they open the 2010 season.

Ojinnaka will be allowed to participate in training camp practices and preseason games this summer, but will not be able to play in the Falcons' season opener on September 12 at Pittsburgh.

In a bizarre incident, Ojinnaka was arrested last year after, according to a  police report, he got into a fight with his wife over a friend he added to his Facebook account.

At the time, Ojinnaka told the police that he was watching a basketball game when his wife allegedly tried to stab him with a pen. He was then accused of spitting on her, throwing her against the stairs and out of their house. He later posted a $2,400 bond and was released from police custody after four hours.

Ojinnaka has played four seasons with the Falcons after being chosen in the fifth round of the 2006 draft.
