Antone Smith still in recovery mode from broken leg

Antone Smith is essentially the definition of a home run hitter. The man can turn the jets on like very few players in the NFL can. Unfortunately, he still needs a bit more time to heal from the broken leg he suffered back in 2014, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of AJC.com.

“The recovery is going pretty good,” Smith told AJC.com on Tuesday. “I’m up and running. I’m almost full force, but not quite where I need to be. In time, that will take care of itself.”

Unfortunately, he's unsure when it comes to a possible timetable for a return as well, per Ledbetter.

“I can’t give you a time table on what they are doing,” Smith said. “But with me, right now, I’m just learning the playbook with everybody else. I’m familiar with some of the things. There are a lot of different techniques and different language.”

Smith should still be a consistently strong option in the run game fro Atlanta in 2015, but we're all hoping to see him back in action sooner than later.
