Wizards G Rice Jr. named Summer League Most Valuable Player

Washington Wizards guard Glen Rice Jr. was unanimously selected as the Most Valuable Player of the NBA Summer League.

A panel of media members selected the All-NBA Summer League first and second teams after 67 games featuring 24 teams over the course of 11 days. The championship game between Houston and Sacramento is Monday night at 9 p.m. ET.

Rice played in six games in Las Vegas, averaging a league-leading 25 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.5 steals.

Also making the first team are Wizards forward Otto Porter, Chicago Bulls forward Doug McDermott and guard Tony Snell, and Rockets forward Donatas Motiejunas.

Center Rudy Gobert (Utah Jazz), guard Tim Hardaway Jr. (New York Knicks), guard Jordan McRae (Philadelphia 76ers), guard Russ Smith (New Orleans Pelicans) and forward T.J. Warren (Phoenix Suns) make up the second team.
