Wizards' Booker out rest of season

Published Mar. 30, 2011 1:00 a.m. ET

Washington Wizards rookie Trevor Booker will miss the rest of the season after breaking a bone in his right foot.

The 23rd overall pick in last year's NBA draft, Booker finishes the season averaging 5.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 54.9 percent on field-goal attempts. His foot will be put in a walking boot, and he'll be re-evaluated in six weeks, the Wizards said Wednesday.

He played in 65 games, including 14 starts, for last-place Washington.

Booker's last game was Friday at the Denver Nuggets.
