Watch No. 2 pick Brandon Ingram's first basket in a Lakers jersey

The very first time he touched ball for the Los Angeles Lakers, Brandon Ingram got buckets.
The Lakers faced Buddy Hield and the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night for their opening game of the Las Vegas Summer League. And on L.A.'s second possession, Ingram took the ball at the top of the artc, drove baseline, and pulled up for a silky jumper:
It is just summer league, so the basket is nothing to get too excited over. Still, it was nice to see the new era in Los Angeles get its unofficial start with Ingram's first swish -- which was kind of Kobe-esque, right? ... right?
Judging by the way the crowd erupted, you might think so, anyway. Then there was Ingram's first two-handed dunk, which came after a funky little shimmy on the perimeter and got the fans on their feet once more:
With Los Angeles just a short flight (or car ride) from Las Vegas, Lakers fans always show up in droves for the annual summer festivities just off the Strip. And given that Ingram was making his debut -- and D'Angelo Russell was taking part in his second summer league -- the purple-and-gold diehards were especially loud on Friday night.

They should be back in full force on Saturday, when the Lakers take on No. 1 pick Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers -- unless, of course, those fans have tickets to UFC 200.
