Warriors to honor Craig Sager with t-shirts on opening night

The Warriors will honor Craig Sager with t-shirts with his likeness in a loud suit.
Craig Sager is a truly special human being. First of all, he’s really great at his job and has been for a very long time. Secondly (and most importantly), he’s a fighter.
Sager’s story is an inspiring one. He’s been battling leukemia for several years now, first missing the 2014 NBA Playoffs. He’s remained positive, fighting even when more obstacles appear in front of him.
The Golden State Warriors are going to open the new season at home against the San Antonio Spurs. They’re looking to start a championship season off the right way, trying to do whatever they can to defeat Kawhi Leonard’s squad. But the Warriors’ best move has already happened.
Every fan in attendance will be getting a white shirt with Sager’s likeness wearing a loud, Warriors-themed blue and yellow suit. On the back, in blue, is the #SagerStrong hashtag right under the SagerStrong Foundation’s logo.

It’s an awesome way for the team to celebrate one of the hardest working and most respected guys in the game of basketball. The TNT crew will also be wearing other Sager-themed shirts that are on sale here. Warriors’ assistant Ron Adams was seen wearing the shirt during shoot around.

The team will also be selling that shirt in the team store in Oracle Arena. The snazzy shirt is a tribute to Sager’s suit that he wore when accepting the Jimmy Valvano award at the most recent ESPY awards. On the back side is one of Sager’s quotes from that speech “time is simply how you live your life.”
Unfortunately, Sager will not be on the sidelines. But it appears that the beloved broadcaster is getting stronger. Look at what his son tweeted on October 19.

Honoring Sager with loud clothes and basketball seems like the only way to pay tribute to one of the great guys in the game. I think I speak for everyone when I say I would love to see him back on the sidelines messing with Gregg Popovich. We all stand with Craig Sager.
