Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers finds himself thinking about former NBA player Robert Swift, he says in Chris Ballard’s Sports Illustrated story on the high school phenom and Sonics center’s long road in and out of the NBA.

The story appears in the Sept. 26, 2016, issue of Sports Illustrated. To subscribe, click here.

Myers previously served as Swift's agent.

“Robert Swift? I think about him all the time,” Myers said.

Swift is just 30 years old, and Myers believes he could have a future in professional basketball.

“He’s definitely a guy [D-League teams] would go look at,” says Myers. “It’s hard to find big guys. But you have to earn it.” Myers pauses. “It’s hard for me because I’m so biased. I want to give him a chance. It’s something I’d love to look at. Just for his life, to get back in a good place.”
