Wait, is that Metta World Peace dressed as panda at street league game?
The Panda’s Friend made his Venice Beach debut.
Former NBA All-Star Metta World Peace — who wants to be known as “The Panda’s Friend” when he plays in China for the Sichuan Blue Whales — reportedly attended a streetball game in Venice, Calif., with his Venice Basketball League team Sunday. He didn’t play, but he did don a panda costume.
The VBL says he’ll be back at the courts on Aug. 17 for the celebrity game, which will likely feature more panda antics.
Granted, after watching this video and seeing Metta's alleged panda head change bodies, it's hard to tell if it's really the Panda's Friend — though that bear does have a nice handle.
H/t to SI.
