Welcome to Views from OKC, Thunderous Intentions daily roundup of the best Thunder stories across the web.
New to Views from OKC? Glad to have you here, and I hope you’ll make this a daily destination. Well, let’s get started!
Notes from a well-connected individual

“Opponents getting into the paint is rarely a good thing for a defense, and the Thunder are suffering because of it, regularly allowing shots from the most efficient parts of the floor, like at the rim and in the corners. So, when he led practice Friday, Donovan concentrated on defense more than anything else. And he wasn’t just addressing one flaw. It was everything.”
If you’re not following Fred Katz you’re missing out on some great Thunder coverage. He has a daily podcast dedicated to the team, and writes great “ThunderNotes” like this one. Interesting point he makes about Morrow being on the court, considering later on he essentially tells us the Thunder get outscored when Morrow plays. You’ll just have to check it out.
Yet another Westworld themed article about Westbrook
“Through 20 games of the 2016–17 NBA season, it’s abundantly clear we’ve entered an alternate universe where Russell Westbrook is King. Love him or hate him, he’s in the process of something incredibly special. The most amazing part is that it all feels….normal.”

I just really love Up the Thunder and their use of graphics, both on Twitter and in their articles. They looked at Westbrook by the numbers and it was marvelous as you’d expect. He’s defying everything we all believed was humanly possible, and he’s doing it with a smile on his face. It makes me happy that Russ can finally do what he wants.
And that’s why he’s Western Conference Player of the Month
“The Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James and the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook today were named the Kia NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Month, respectively, for games played in October and November.”
Just one step close to being crowned MVP.
