Vegas sets Warriors' over/under for 2016-17

The Golden State Warriors’ win odds have been set for the upcoming season.
The Golden State Warriors are going to win a lot of games this season. They may not win 73 games again, simply because it’s ridiculous to expect that two years in a row, but they’re going to win a lot of games. With the NBA season just around the corner, Las Vegas has set the odds for the over/under on wins for teams.
Let’s just say that the Warriors have the highest expected wins. Via Rob Perez, Las Vegas Superbook has set the Warriors at 66.5 wins on the season.

While some might want to just jump right in and take that bet because of the addition of Durant, there are some things to consider. Last season, the Warriors didn’t get much rest because they were chasing history. This season, things should be a lot different.
To make sure that his team is ready to go, Steve Kerr is going to rest guys a ton. That’s not to say they’re going to coast the full year, but 67 wins is a tall task for any great team. They’ll win 60, but if they’re a little bit under, it won’t be a surprise.
This team is going to make sure they’re ready for the playoffs, but not at the expense of sacrificing their bodies for the regular season. That might have cost them a championship last season and they are not going to do that again.
