Tyronn Lue: Kevin Garnett has a coaching spot with Cavaliers

Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue says he has a spot for Kevin Garnett on his coaching staff, according to Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal.
Garnett has not expressed interest in coaching since announcing his retirement last week but his wife, Brandi, has been pushing for it, Lue told reporters.
“I talked to him about it. I know his wife is pushing for it a lot,” Lue said. “Brandi is pushing for it, trying to get him to come and coach. He says he’s not ready yet. He goes back, ‘I might do it,’ but he’s back and forth. We’ll see. But I’d definitely make a spot for him if he wanted to come back and coach.”
Garnett will attend the Cavaliers' ring ceremony on opening night against the New York Knicks on October 25.
In February 2015, Garnett was asked if he would ever be a coach in the NBA. He responded by saying, "Hell nah."
Garnett averaged 17.8 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.4 blocks for his 21-year career.
