This one stat shows where the Jazz really miss Dante Exum

The Utah Jazz aren't struggling on offense so far in 2015-16, but they're not blowing the doors off the barn, either. Utah's right about at the middle of the pack in offensive efficiency early this season.

And with the Jazz trying to work new, young point guards into the mix, that's not a bad thing at all. Despite holding steady, however, Utah undoubtedly misses the playmaking ability of Dante Exum. His absence is summed up nicely by the Jazz's lack of catch-and-shoot 3-pointers, as pointed out by Jazz radio voice David Locke:

It's a simple correlation. Catch-and-shoot attempts tend to come when the defense is moving thanks to pick-and-roll and off-ball movement. Without an experienced point guard to probe and collapse the defense, Utah's having a hard time generating easy shots. On the plus side, it's fair to expect the Jazz will improve as they become more comfortable in the offense.
