In this article, A Royal Pain continues its series of analyzing the entire roster on the Sacramento Kings to see where each player is at their most efficient shooting the basketball.

The player that will be evaluated in this piece will be recently acquired forward, Anthony Tolliver.

Where To Let It Go?

Based on Tolliver’s last two seasons of work, he has the chance to be the stretch-four that the Kings have been longing for.

When looking at the data there are only two areas beyond the perimeter where Tolliver really struggled to make shots, on the left-wing in the 2014-2015 season and the left-baseline last season.

Other than those two locations in as many seasons, Tolliver has been at least decent in making perimeter shots from everywhere else.

The shooting chart also shows a pattern of where Tolliver likes to shoot the ball. The right-baseline of the perimeter looks to be Tolliver’s sweet spot. In the last two seasons, he has recorded percentages of 40.8 (2014) and 41.7 (2015).

    Summary

Overall, Tolliver’s shooting charts show that he can be a solid stretch-four for the Kings this season, especially if they feed him on the right baseline beyond the perimeter.

Tolliver’s sample size also gives Kings fans hope that he can deliver, as he has recorded a career field-goal percentage of 40.9 and a three-point percentage of 35.7. But will being on the Kings curse the 31-year old veteran?
