Rick Carlisle wants Mavs to become a better rebounding team

Despite winning 50 games last season, the Dallas Mavericks have a few areas that could use some improvement heading into the 2015-16 season.
One of those areas is rebounding, especially after losing center Tyson Chandler in free agency. The Mavericks finished 29th in defensive rebounding percentage last season, which allowed opponents tons of extra chances and put a strain on the defense.
Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle is aware of the problem, however, and has an idea to fix it. Here's what he told Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com:
“We’ve got to get some monsters that push and shove, throw people out of the way and go get the ball,” Carlisle confessed when addressing the rebounding concerns last season. “We’ve got to get more of those guys. We’ve got to block out and we’ve got to have five guys going (for the rebound) all the time. And when it matters, we’ve got to get the rebounds.”
