LaMarcus Aldridge is taking his well-deserved time to make a decision about where he’ll sign in free agency.

According to Ken Berger of CBS Sports, the power forward has essentially narrowed his choices to three teams: the San Antonio Spurs, Phoenix Suns and Portland Trail Blazers.

Berger notes the other teams interested in Aldridge—presumably the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors and New York Knicks—have not necessarily been eliminated, but they’re trailing the aforementioned trio.

San Antonio cleared cap space for Aldridge by trading Tiago Splitter to the Atlanta Hawks, while Phoenix followed suit by sending Marcus Morris, Reggie Bullock and Danny Granger to the Detroit Pistons.

Portland, Aldridge’s former team, also has the necessary room to provide Aldridge a max contract.

Free agents are allowed to officially sign a contract on July 9, so Aldridge shouldn’t rush a decision that can’t be made final until next week.
