Report: Raptors to sign Hansbrough

Published Jul. 10, 2013 1:00 a.m. ET

The Toronto Raptors have agreed to a two-year deal with free-agent forward Tyler Hansbrough, according to the Toronto Star. The contract will be worth about $3 million per season and should become official Wednesday.

Hansbrough, 27, averaged 7.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per game this past season with the Indiana Pacers.

The 13th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, Hansbrough has averaged 8.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in his four-season NBA career.

The Toronto Star notes Hansbrough is known as one of the league’s grittiest players and should help to improve the Raptors’ “toughness quotient.”
