Report: Mavericks, Wizards interested in Kevin Martin trade

As the trade deadline nears, teams clawing for playoff position are considering every possible solution to add depth and plug holes in their rotations. That's apparently true for the Dallas Mavericks and Washington Wizards, who are reportedly interested in trading for Minnesota Timberwolves wing Kevin Martin.

Martin is averaging 20.5 points, 2.0 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 31.7 minutes per game for the Wolves and would bring additional scoring punch to two teams that could use the firepower. The Wizards are a slightly below-average offensive team this season, per Basketball-Reference. And while the Mavericks are a top-five offense on the season overall, they've struggled to score at times since trading Brandan Wright to the Boston Celtics for point guard Rajon Rondo.
