Report: Grizzlies interested in Jeff Van Gundy as coach, president

The Memphis Grizzlies are interested in making a run at Jeff Van Gundy to become their next head coach and president, ESPN reports.
Current Grizzlies head coach Dave Joerger interviewed with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday and isn't expected to return to his post with Memphis.
The dual role with the Grizzlies would mirror that of Stan Van Gundy, who was hired last week as the head coach and president of the Detroit Pistons.
Jeff Van Gundy, currently a television analyst with ESPN, last coached in the NBA with the Houston Rockets in the 2006-07 season. In 11 seasons with the Rockets and New York Knicks, he compiled a 430-318 record and led the Knicks to the 1998-99 NBA Finals.
According to the ESPN report, Van Gundy's interest in the Grizzlies' openings in unknown.
