Report: Bynum cited for going 110 mph

Published Nov. 17, 2010 8:21 p.m. ET

Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum was ticketed for driving 110 mph on an L.A. freeway where the speed limit is 55 mph, TMZ reported Wednesday.

Bynum was pulled over Oct. 29 in his customized 2010 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

The 23-year-old was reportedly not charged with reckless driving because traffic was light and he was not weaving in and out of lanes.

The oft-injured seven-footer has not played this season as he works his way back from a knee injury. Bynum injured his knee in the first round of last season's playoffs, but continued to play, averaging 8.6 points and 6.9 rebounds as the Lakers went on to win the NBA title.

He is expected to return for the world champs next month.
