The New York Knicks have trimmed the roster down to 15 players. Find out who will represent the Knicks during the 2016-17 NBA regular season.

New York Knicks team president Phil Jackson has announced that the team has waived guards Chasson Randle and J.P. Tokoto, and forwards Lou Amundson, Cleanthony Early and Damien Inglis.

The final main roster count now stands at 15 players.

Randle, who stand at 6’2″ and 185 pounds, was signed as an undrafted free agent on Aug. 4, 2016. He appeared in three preseason games, averaging 7.7 points over 15.7 minutes before suffering a left orbital fracture.

Tokoto, a 6’6″ and 200-pound wing, was signed on Aug. 1, 2016 and appeared in three preseason games. During those games, he averaged 2.7 points over 12.1 minutes.

Amundson, a 6’9″ and 220-pound power forward, scored two total points over 15 minutes over two preseason games. Early, signed on Oct. 18, and Inglis, signed on Oct. 11, did not appear in preseason action.

Early and Inglis are expected to join the Westchester Knicks for the 2016-17 season.

The Knicks wanted to keep the injured Randle, but he’s going to be out a month with a broken orbital bone. This means that Ron Baker deservedly will be on the 15-man roster when the Knicks open up their season next Tuesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

New York could resign Randle when he is healthy and assign him to their D-League affiliate in Westchester. However, he is a free agent and could sign with another team when he’s healthy.

Entering 2016-17, Knicks’ 15-man roster will consist of Carmelo Anthony, Ron Baker, Willy Hernangomez, Justin Holiday, Brandon Jennings, Mindaugas Kuzminskas, Courtney Lee, Maurice Daly Ndour, Joakim Noah, Kyle O’Quinn, Marshall Plumlee, Kristaps Porzingis, Derrick Rose, Lance Thomas, and Sasha Vujacic.

The Knicks will enter 2016-17 with five players under the age of 25.
