Nerlens Noel expected back in the lineup Friday against Thunder

Nerlens Noel sat out of Philadelphia's loss to the Bulls, and is expected to miss Wednesday night's contest against the Raptors after suffering soreness in his wrists stemming from a fall he took against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Keith Pompey of Philly.com reports that he should be back in the lineup for Friday's contest against Oklahoma City.

Noel is averaging 12.2 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.8 blocked shots in 32.3 minutes per game this season.

Nerlens Noel is expected to return Friday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to a source.

The 76ers power forward missed his second straight game against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday because of sore wrists. The 6-foot-11, 223-pounder has a noticeable bruise on his right wrist. The Sixers said he injured both wrists when he took a hard fall against the Cleveland Cavaliers last Friday.

However, Noel looked fine the rest the night and participated in Saturday’s home game against the Orlando Magic. He was ejected late in the third quarter with a flagrant-2 foul. Leaving the court, he hit a few things while walking to the tunnel toward the locker room. The Sixers gave the impression that the injury happened Friday and not Saturday.

He had hoped to play in the Wednesday matchup.
